Conditions of entry for Country Style magazine's WIN an Adelaide Hills escape


1. Information on how to enter and the prizes form part of these conditions of entry. Entry into the
competition is deemed acceptance of the terms and conditions.
2. Entry is open to all residents ACT, NSW, VIC, QLD, WA, SA and TAS aged 18 years or over.
3. The Promoter is News Magazines Pty Ltd. Employees of News Magazines and their advertising
agencies, newsagents, subagents, respective employees and their immediate families are ineligible to
enter.
4. Promotion commences 12:01am on Thursday 20th August 2009 and closes 11.59pm on Tuesday 22nd
September 2009 (promotional period) and the winners will be drawn at 10:00am Friday 25th September
2009 at Salmat Interactive Level 17, 100 Arthur Street, North Sydney NSW 2060. All times referred to in
these conditions are all Australian Eastern Standard time.
5. Winners will be notified by phone within 2 working days and also in writing and prize winners will be
published in the Public Notices section of The Australian on Thursday 1st October 2009.
6. To enter, participants must either;
a. Call 1900 966 391 (calls costs 55c incl gst, higher from mobiles) and follow the prompts to leave
their full name, address and daytime contact number or
b. SMS their full name, address and daytime contact number to 199 18 877 as advertised in the
Country Style Magazine. Text message costs a maximum of 55c per message and each text
messages is a maximum of 160 characters.
7. There is one prize to be won. The first valid entry drawn will win an escape for four to Adelaide Hills
including:
a. Return economy flights from winners nearest capital city to Adelaide for 4 valued up to $2,500.00
b. Two nights accommodation for four including breakfast staying in a Deluxe room at Mt Lofty House
valued up to $750.00
c. Wine tasting at Bridgewater Mill wines, lunch or dinner for four at Bridgewater Mill, Adelaide Hills
restaurant enjoying a degustation menu with matching wines. Valued at $500.00
d. 4 x Mixed dozen of wines for the winner and each of the winners guests to enjoy from Bridgewater
Mill wines valued at $1,100.00
8. Total prize pool valued at up to $4,850.00
9. The prize winner and guests must all be over the age of 18 years in order to partake in any wine tasting
and to receive the wine.
10. Airline reservation is subject to seat availability. Availability is limited during peak holiday periods and
school holidays. Travel is not permitted between 15 Dec 09 and 15 Jan 10. Travel must be redeemed
and completed by 30 June 2010. Tickets are non transferable, non redeemable for cash and cannot be
on-sold to a third party. Tickets must be booked as return flights.
11. Bookings must be made at least 30 days prior to travel. Travel must be taken by the 30th June 2010 with
no further extensions.
12. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize of equal or great value if the prize is
for some reason unavailable subject to gaming authority approval.
13. Entry by SMS is only open to participants with an SMS compatible mobile phone connected to a service
provider which permits premium text messaging to the promotional SMS number. It is recommended
that entrants check with their individual service provider in this regard. Any costs associated with
entering the competition is the responsibility of the entrant.
14. Entry by phone is only open to participants who have access to calling premium phone numbers. It is
recommended that entrants check with their individual service provider in this regard.
15. The time of entry will in all cases be the time the entry is received by the database at Salmat Interactive.
16. Entries without the required information will be deemed incomplete and will not count towards an entry
into the Promotion. Any form of automated electronic entry that does not meet the entry requirements as per
clause 6 will be deemed invalid and not counted as a valid entry. Entries via SMS will only be accepted from
mobile phones.
17. The winner will be electronically drawn entries will be validated for entry eligibility as per clause 6 and
any invalid entries will be discarded and the draw will continue until all prizes are allocated.
18. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of the prize. All prize values are in
Australian dollars.
19. Prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash or kind.
20. Winners must take the prize as offered. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner must
comply with all the conditions of use of the prize and the prize supplier’s requirements.
21. If a prize is unclaimed, an unclaimed prize draw will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday 30th December
2009 at Salmat Interactive, Level 17, 100 Arthur Street, North Sydney, subject to any written directions
given by the relevant state Lottery and Gaming Regulators, and any winner’s name will be published in
the Public Notices section of The Australian on Wednesday 6th January 2010.
22. Should an entrant’s contact details change during the promotional period, it is the entrant’s responsibility
to notify the Promoter.
23. Unless otherwise specified, all ancillary costs are the winner’s responsibility.
24. The Promoter and Salmat Interactive are not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information,
either caused by you or for any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in the
competition, or for any technical error, or any combination thereof that may occur in the course of the
administration of the competition including any omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation
or transmission, communications line or telephone, mobile or satellite network failure, theft or destruction
or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries.
25. The Promoter and Salmat Interactive are not responsible for lost, late, incomprehensible or incorrect
entries in the competition. We also accept no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from
prize winnings in the competition. You should seek Independent financial advice about such matters.
26. In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency, disaster or (without limitation) any other event outside
our reasonable control, we are entitled to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition - subject
to any written directions from the various regulatory bodies responsible for supervising the conduct of the
competition (the Lotteries Departments).
27. If for any reason the competition is not capable of running as planned (including but not limited to)
technical failures, unauthorised intervention, fraud or any other causes beyond our control which
corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition,
we are entitled in our sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and
(subject to any written directions given by the various Lotteries Departments), to cancel, terminate,
modify or suspend the competition.
28. The winners release the Promoter from any and all causes of action, losses, liability, damage, expense
(including legal expenses) cost or charge suffered, sustained or in any way incurred by the winner as a
result of any loss or damage to any physical property of the winner, or any injury to or death of any
person arising out of, or related to, or in any way connected with the Promoters or the prize.
29. In the event of a third party other than the promoter cancelling any event related to this prize, the
Promoter cannot be held responsible.
30. The winner agrees to participate in any news media activities surrounding the promotion.
31. Entrants’ details may be disclosed to State and Territory lottery departments and winners’ names
published as required under the relevant lottery legislation.
32. News Magazines collects your information to include you in this competition and will disclose the
information to others who help us run the competition. We may also use the information to assist us in
improving our goods and services and to contact you in the future in regard to our other goods and
services. We may share your information with other persons or entities that assist us in performing the
above or with another company which provides prizes for the competition. You can contact us to gain
